New member MK5 GTI owner
« on: August 06, 2010, 02:49:25 pm »
Hi i'm james have owned my golf gti since 23 april 2008, but only just thought about joining the forum!

the golf is a 5dr(family), candy white, monza II, ipod connection and rear window tints from standard

had the normal monza alloy problems but (with help from my dad who works at the local dealers), are all sorted now

since the warrenty is to run out next year i am starting to think about changing the car slighty

gaining more and more ideas from this great forum with lots of info. on here

hello to all you mk5 owners

pic taken when 5 mins old (to me anyway), and 6 miles on the clock

thanks james

You bought the car two years ago? Count yourself lucky you didn't join the forum back then. You would have spent all of your money on the car by now.

Any plans for mods?

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

Ya hoping, if things goto plan and have the money, to full exhaust turbo back with sports cat, remap (not sure which one yet, what about r-tech?), lowering and painted bumpers front and rear. But and its a big BUT, do I save my money and get a S3 tfsi??!!

Whats people thoughts?

pfftt. i like the look of the gti over the s3. The latter looks very flashy but more "grown up".  Not for me.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.
