447 out of mine yesterday

Do you drive behind caravans all day or something :stupid:

LOL, I bet he's got his trip meter on kmph :signLOL:

Right that it, some proof is going to be needed for the none believers..  :booty: My Trip 2 computer has averaged 30mpg combined for the last 2k too  :P That's the advantage of doing a lot of motorway mileage for work chaps (and having a driving ban to slow you down a bit  :scared:)

Ive just come back from Wales, so M4 all the way., I averaged  37.1 mpg. Drove 50 miles and had a glance at range remaining, and it said i had 380 mile range available still!! :surprised:.Did Bridge End to Southampton, on just over a quarter of a tank  :stupid:. Boring trip mind you sat on cruise control :chicken:

Pottling around wales, because of its lack of traffic lights and traffic cues, i was averaging 32 mpg, compared to my normal 26mpg around Southampton.

So goes to show it all depends on where you live as to what Econamy your likely to see.

365 out of a tank load, Glasgow to Manchester Airport and back (southwaite) then fill up...that was of course motorway with cruise set at normal motorway speeds.

Normally I get 280-320 per tank tootling around town, commuting and having the odd back road blast for fun. (within legal limits of course)....

Picked car up on Monday, have just finished my first full tank of petrol 382.50 miles from 54.60 litres.

So wondering if this is great mileage from a tank?

Cheers
Kiwi

I only get about 300 miles to a tank of Optimax. My driving is usually a short 10 mile journey to and from work. I went on the motorway the other day from Sevenoaks to Stanstead and managed to see 35 mpg but had to be very light on the throttle.

When i went to JKM for the ko4 conversion on my vRS and drove back to Ireland i got 450 out of the tank. i think 38mpg was on display. A lot of the time i was cruising at 80-90 mph on the motorway! The car has well over 300bhp! The 2.0 TFSi is amazing for what it is in economy.
2008 Octavia vRS K04'd , Forge twintercooler, Evoms, Autotech uprated pump, full Milltek exhaust 324bhp on JKM's rollers ;-)

Trip computer is giving 29.2 MPG, so not bad at all (tested and fairly accurate).  Only ever drive it till low or the reserve light comes on (don't want to drag the debris at the bottom of the tank through the fuel system), so never driven it till empty, range is normally 50-60 miles left.  If in traffic I can get 34-35 in the Porker.

The MK3 16V Anni regularly gives 40+.

I think that is ok.

There is a huge difference in fuel economy in the in this thread.
