I had a wiked day! Met J/poverty at south mims and had a spirited drive to the pod!!

Cued for ages and lost my virginity! Only done 1 run and got 14second flat! Terminal was 100mph.. Can't wait to have it revoed and do some more runs!! Nice to meet you all and good turn out!

Ash.

Ash, I was very guilty at having a few pervs at your motor mate. Stunning!  :happy2:

The drive down with Ash was probably one of the highlights of the day for me.

Was hoping to catch up with you ben and rob aswell, saw your ed30 parked up a few times but never actually found you.

Bring on next season,  :pomppomp:

I'm pretty sure we walked past each other outside the bogs mate. But I wasn't 100% it was you (it was) and didn't want to make a tit out of myself..  :ashamed:
Then saw you as we were pulling off and gave you a wave but couldn't stop as my mate was already running late..  :sad1:
Next time mate..

Awful day really...! Average queue time of 2 hours for 1 run up a strip that was in poor condition. The start-line grip levels were appauling! There was oil/debris all over the strip on my run. Half-way down i must have hit some oil or something as the car started squirming for no apparent reason at all.

Good to see some familiar faces, a bit gutted that i didn't see more of you all though  :sad1:

Did you get home OK?
Yeah kinda. Gonna post a thread about it soon. Didn't have to call the RAC or anything. Absolutely knackered and long shift at work tomorrow means I was in bed by 1830 and now that I've eaten, going back to bed now.

Even the scenic detour through Northampton town centre!!
Yeah what the hell was that about? Completely forgot to ask about this. I bypassed the town on the return home and got back about twenty mins earlier

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

Cheers all for a great day. Sorry that I didn't get a chance to talk to many people, more for the fact that I wasn't sure who anyone was, think we need some stickers for the next one.
Glad some of you got to run, Was my first time at a track like this and have to say that it is great to watch, must be even better to take part.

And finally thanks for all being so friendly and not minding the wife wandering around with her camera stuck to her face.
If you have a look in the photography section she has put up a thread of some of the best ones.

(Moschops, thanks for the t shirt and rabbit, got a couple of nice shots of your motor on the convoy down, but the plate won't blank out, if you want them, drop me your e mail address and I will shoot it over to you)

At least the rainy weather stayed away. Pity to hear about the shambolic organisation again. Maybe a York meet maybe better next time. Grip up there seems to be decent enough and it usually doesn't take too long to get a run.
Golf R gone.
