It should do but I suggest you ask someone with ETKA to double check.

Do you mean a window regulator? 3dr/5dr? Which door?

Yup both years are shown as 1K3 837 462A for regulator without motor "Right  2 door"

Nasir i would be a bit careful with this as a 2008 door controller is a gen 3 controller and the pinouts are in different places so you might not be able to have doors opening.
i want to fit a gen 3 door controller to get my reverse mirror dip to work but you have to change a lot of wiring around and also have to wire second +12V
line to the rear doors.

Thanks for that Golfman. Has the newer part superseded the old regulator? If so the VW wouldn't sell the older one right?

Do the Gen 3 controllers have a different part number? If only I had a 5 door, life would be simpler.

Im not saying that it wont work with a 2 door but im sure that the pin outs will be in the wrong place so some things might not work as they should!!!!
