Hi,
I changed mine recently and the hardest bit was lining up the trim to put it back on after the boot latch was fitted
Seriously though, it isn't hard at all and if I can do it anyone can. It took me just under an hour.
First off open the boot and you will see two screws in the hatch grab handles. Remove these.
There are two plastic trim parts that cover the bulb area at each side of the hatch trim, pull these and they will come off quite easily.
Now you need to be brave, put your hands around the two holes where you've just the trim covers and tug hard.....then realised you haven't tugged hard enough and tug harder until the trim pops off. There are around 10 to 12 metal clips holding the hatch trim in place, so it does REALLY need a hard tug. You may find that it is easier to pull off one side first.
Once the trim is off you will notice two things...
1. the latch mechanism is held by 3 torx screws
2. you can't get at them all for the rear windscreen motor!!!!!
All you need to do is undo the screws holding the motor and rotate the whole assembly through 90 degrees - you don't have to take it off!
Once you've done this you will need to disconnect the latch mechanism electrically. It is simply a slot in/out connector. The connector has a little locking catch but all you need to do is depress this and it will slide out.
Now undo the 3 screws and remove the original latch.
Then as they say, fitting is the opposite of removal.
Hope this helps.
