Apart from GIAC and APR.

APR is switchable but not adjustable, just like GIAC.  what that means is they can switch between other preset maps.

REVO is adjustable as you can indivudually adjust the fuel, timing and boost settings over a wide array of settings

I think your confusing what Sy means.

REVO is user adjustable (which no others are) all others have to be adjusted by the tuner.

@scotta, as carl says, i was alluding to the user adjustability that only revo provides

Well guys, was at AMD today and had the AMD map but customised with a very strong bottom end spike.  So the car is extremely aggressive low down, which was what I wanted.  The sound coming out of the turbo back (resonated) is nothing short of orgasmic .  Now comes the interesting thing.........it was quite warm today (about 22 degrees celcius) and the rolling road recorded 240.2 bhp with 264.5 lb/ft @ 3094 Rpm after the remap but before adaptions (which apparently means it needs a few cold starts)?
What I found astounding was what they told me next.......and I would like to hear all your feedback on this.  Because the car was mapped with 95 RON, they told me I needed to go onto Shell V-Power or Tesco 99 (fair enough)   They told me though that after doing 3 tanks on the higher octane it would increase my BHP by 20-25  :surprised:  Any suggestions or knowledge on whether this is a pipe dream?  :rolleye:
If it's true I may go out tomorrow and drive to Scotland and back to get the 3 tanks out the way  :signLOL:  pop in and see me show me your motor when your up in scotland
Guys??????
Sig to big.

So a revo map is similar to an electronic boost controller such as an apexi, where settings can be adjusted etc

the map has been designed with a band of adjustability within it with the fuel maps, boost maps and the timing.  Essentially you can adjust your settings to the weather conditions, or new mods safely (as long as you log the car to check) to ensure the car is always at the optimum.

i guess its sort of similar.  however adjusting the boost will have an effect on both timing as fueling so in a way it is better than a boost controller as you can fine tune it to a certain degree.
