Yeah I've heard they are preferable to kw from a few people. I've not read one bad review on the Internet.

Friday sees a new steering rack being put on and these fitted. Setup the same ride height as current and all re-aligned.

Brilliant rich, althought admit you want to go another 10mm lower :P

About time there was a worthwhile update in your build thread.

I don't use the adjuster rings on the back with my pss10. They aren't the lowest coil overs, my kW where slightly lower but I like to think the Billy's are more about performance

I am guessing that you are probably about 10-15mm lower on the rear (possibly all-round).

Plan is to measure the current ride height and match it exactly with the PSS10, as I like the ride height and hardly ever have clearance issues.

Just clicks over 90,000 miles last night. So that's 77,000 in my ownership.

Should be running sweet as a nut by the end of summer set for another 90k

So friday saw a new steering rack go on. The groaning has gone so thats a relief.

New

PSS10s went on. Seemed to go on easily enough.

And then onto TT Shops old to do the alignment, where a problem was struck.

Alex has been telling me for probably about 2 years that the rear TOE adjustment bushes are seizing up, the ones on the left here...

ignore the text on the image, its wrong

Anyway... the bolt snapped so I am having superpro bushes put in with new bolts, should hopefully make all future alignment much easier

I only drove the car about 5 miles but the first impressions of the PSS10 is good. No where near as hard as I thought they would be (set to F5 R4). Damping is much much improved over the trashed OEM dampers, which all appeared to have very little in terms on compression damping.

More on the PSS10 once I've got it back

Great to read - can't wait to get rid of my OEM dampers now. They are exactly as you describe... no compression...
What alerted you to the steering rack giving up?

It was making noise when steering. It wasnt 'that' bad, but it was only gonna get worse and annoyed me and made the car feel old.  :sad1:

It was actually a little bit higher (not fussed about 'lows' too much).... but Im hoping that alex drops it to 36cm all-round same as before.  :happy2:
