So, Robin is going to do a "how not to....." for the front reg plate
Well at least his sticks on Robin still, and not falls off ;)
....If you want to have a completely legal (in every respect) but without the oem number plate mount, it's about time I posted a How-To.I've been meaning to but never got around to it. I'll do it and post a link in this thread.Meanwhile, here's a velcro method : -
same as jonnyc but its a risk .....
Mine (the v22 plate) is 101mm high (11mm+79mm+11mm) by 399mm wide (11mm+50mm+11mm+50mm+11mm+50mm+33mm+50mm+11mm+50mm+11mm+50mm+11mm)As per the regs here:http://www.dvla.gov.uk/media/pdf/leaflets/v796.pdfNormal plates sold are 520mm by 112mm3/4 plates sold are 390mm by 84mm (I have one of these for the front as well).
mines a 2/3rds plate from www.fancyplates.com with new style reg (7 chars)(Greenouse has one too that looks even better with less letters , e.g. M1 NTY)
dont drive to accrington with that plate on. you will get your tied down in a torture chamber, bummed with a hot poker, then hung drawn and quartered.actually...dont come to accrington ever, its awful!
