Do they always sit lower on the rear end?

Hi guys, fitted a set of Apex springs to my 2006 GTi, Ive subsequently noticed it sits a few mm lower on the rear?  Im a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to stuff like this and its gonna bug me!  I kinda already know the answer, coilovers....... just curious as to wether a set of these would solve the prob ( http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260625065432&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT ) ...... or would they cause handling issues?

Yes! the car comes from the factory slightly lower at the back.   :happy2:

The dimensions of the rear arch is smaller and the wheel is naturally recesses into the rear arch since they dont need to turn.  And I wouldnt advice using the link item as it will ruin the ride.  If it really bothers you then I reckon the best bet would be to get a set of the same springs with a lower drop and just install them on the rear.

Thanks guys, yeah I kina assumed this would be the case.  I shall try to learn to live with it rather than drop £500 on coilies! (dont think apex do a spring with a smaller drop).

If you look along the bottom of the car its still pointing down towards the front.

It looks pretty good to me and you could ruin the dynamics of the car.

LOL no the boot is empty (I think the wife got out!), I think I will just live with it, its only a few mm afterall  :confused:
