Dent removal
« on: October 24, 2010, 04:01:02 pm »
Okay, so i've lived with my dent for a year now but it's increasingly annoying me, especially as ive just had the car pro-cleaned.
I've a 3-door and the dent is in the near side panel where the rear door would have been. Its about half way up and quite near the B pillar.

Is it possible to have this removed without going through the B-pillar via a drilled hole? Where would access be gained to get behind?

Thnx

Hi Mako,

I work at rolls royce and with any car factory dents are innevitable... so we have specialists called spanglers, who use a series of rods hammers and other PDR (paintless dent removal) tools.

All a PDR guy will need is the inner trim panel removed from the interior and they can then get in and remove the dent.

I had a small dent caused by a stone on my bonnet taken out by my friend and luckily it didn't cost me a penny, but it would have only cost about £30...

Price just depends on the size.

Hope this helps.

Hi mate,

Mine had to be drilled when I had a dent roughly in the same place,  I was told they are double skinned.

I can personally recommend www.DentDevils.co.uk.  Although, like most things, they are a franchise, and each individual franchisee may vary.  DentDevils arn't the cheapest (£75 per panel), but they certainly do a flawless job to perfection.

Paul is the main man who I use - http://www.dentdevils.co.uk/NRteam.htm
