Have never used the paint renovator before so can't comment. If possible, wash the car using the two-bucket method with washmitt (not a sponge). Pat dry using microfibre towels. I'd recommend a clay if it hasn't had one - halfrauds do a nice megs smooth surface clay kit for about £25. Works wonders - it'll remove any bonded contaminants and make your paintwork as smooth as glass. Then apply the AG EGP with a microfibre cloth and apply sparingly. I used it once, too thickly and had a chore to buff it off. Let it touch dry and then buff off. Use a squirt or two of detailer spray (from the clay kit) to help if there's a troublesome area. Let it set for a short while and then follow it with the wax. Apply thinly with a microfibre cloth and again, don't leave it too long before buffing.

Things you might want:

Glass - AG Fast Glass or Glass Polish
Tyres - Megs Endurance Gloss Tyre Gel
Exhaust - Autosol metal polish
Alloys - Megs Hot Rims Wheel Cleaner + alloy brush

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

Looks stunning Ben! The flake on Diamond Black is so nice, and I very nearly bought a black one after seeing one in the flesh in the sun!

Can't help but notice that the APR is sitting a bit low, I know mine has caused a bit of grievance with regard to loosening clamps, may be worth a check? It just seemed to work loose slowly, but was still very tight when I touched it.

Yea definatly sitting low, i fitted it in a hurry and havent had a chance to adjust the height...  From having a second look, do i need an extra bracket near the bax box??

Oh wow! Credit to you for fitting it! I wouldn't have a clue.

No idea about a bracket near the backbox, i can take a photo of mine for you if you wish?

Does this help?

On the left (out of the photo) there is a rubber mount thing holding it as well..
