I think it's so that he can say that his are illegal, and that he takes the chance anyway, and then one day when he does get pulled over by the 5.0, the Po-po, the feds, then he can come on here and shout about how pathetic it is that they have nothing better to do?

Its got a lot to do with ANPR cameras as they dont pick up the registrations properly,when mis-spaced or wrong fonts.
All to do with road safety :smiley: :smiley:
Thing is if your car has an illegal plate on it and it gets stolen,you will be the fist to moan that the ANPR cameras didnt pick it up!!!
As the neds whore it up and down the motorways trying to max it out :wink:

I know someone who was done 3 times for it..the 3rd time he was warned that it would be taken off him if he does it again.

Mmmm ive been playing around with my plate, and im trying to come up with a legal solution.

Where can one find out the requirements as to what makes a plate legal?

Though I'm not averse to occasionally breaking the law, as far as my car is concerned it's totally legal and I do everything I can to keep it that way.

Most illegal plates just make the owner look like an ostentatious fool!  :stupid:

Show plates are cool though, but only at shows.
