That looks cool! But I think it no longer looks like a GTI anymore. I quite like that silver trim! Did you extend it from the normal grille?

It's my old GT TDI Chris.

I did the whole front end swap, had an adapted Jetta front end.  :happy2:

....

I considered those R-line grills when I was researching how best to fit LED DRL's but I think they only look good on a black car. Personally I don't think the lower centre grill looks right with R-style slats either, but that's because it's strange when mixed with the honeycombe.

I've just ordered some OSIR carbon ones.

Audi don't think so, and tbh Robin from what I can tell you're quite a traditionalist. Each to there own. I say

....Certainly ETTO, matt :happy2: - I hope my tone didn't seem judgemental - I was only giving my opinion.

Which Audi's have honeycombe and slatted grills mixed? (I hadn't noticed any)

No no Robin, didn't read anything into your post apart from your opinion, which is always good!  :happy2:

Not strictly bar and honey comb, but you get the idea:

Oh yes - I think of that as a criss-cross grill rather than bar.

A friend of mine, Jamie, has a nice blue S3 and I tease him that he's got a Cadillac grill

Must say Robin, bit disappointed, you claim not to like people messing with the GTIs, ie grille stripes, yet are happy to change the look with CB bits!  :signLOL:

To be fair to him though he has only changed the entire car.   :P

....I guess we just have slightly differing ideas about what we like for our own cars. These CF panels will fit around my DRL's better than the stock vents do and I already have a CF nose piece so I think they will go together okay.

There's not really a right or wrong but just what we individually do or don't like.
