what wheels are they?
they look l like monzas but look a bit bigger?

....They are Monza 18's (I think but it's not so clear from the poor pic) but with the inserts painted black (same as Mk6 GTI wheels) - It makes the wheels look bigger than they are.

Are they not 19" w12 replicas just the way the spokes look different to 18" monzas

I think they're the 19" Monza reps that someone's been flaunting on the website.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

Any idea, where one might buy these wheels? was the one thing I wished VW offered, was a bigger size than 18" monza style wheel

I believe these to be the wheels Mr Illketronics has purchased, i am sure his photo quality will be much better though when he finally gets them on.

monza's has a flat front, these bend out quite a bit in the middle of the "O" compared to the Monza's

Over the top mod list ;o)

Does some one know who this car belongs to or what wheels they are, I must have them in my life.

....Do you mean they look more 'dished'? The W12 had bodywork to accommodate a wider more dished wheel.

The problem with that photo is that a wide angle lens is distorting things... Check the front wheel perspective with the rear wheel perspective - They're not in the same plane. All the detail is lost in the bodywork too - It's a crap photo imo.

Look at this pic he posted in his new wheels tread:

You can clearly see that the rim bends outways in the "middle of the hole" as opposed to the monza's that are totally flat facing outwards  :happy2:

Thanks, Jake (yet again!) :drinking:

Yep, that pic is much better (a great photo imo) and clearly shows the dishing.

If the Monza 18's weigh 12kg (to the nearest) and my OZ Alleggerita's are 8kg, I wonder what the heck those 19's weigh.... A lot! Must be over 13kg each.

Sure he mentions that they are 10kgs each so pretty light. (still cant stop looking at these)

....I don't think he can be right. Original BBS Monza's use their Hollow Technology and replicas are always heavier. Even an original Monza 17 weighs 11kg each (without tyres).

I Know you are interested in the wheel weight of wheels Robin, but this is turning into a debate in the wrong section. I try and keep this section for reference and modding/design ideas. Why not start a thread in the relevant section about these wheels.   :happy2:
