Has anyone had experience with the above? Is it any good and is it compatible with the washer jets on the mk5? They get blocked quite easily I believe.

Cheers.

I have just today put some on my shower glass

That's all it's good for -I don't rate it on the windscreen, wipers show big smears. :driver:

Maybe ok for the side windows and the back

It's generally rated quite highly amongst general car clubs but is really only effective at speeds above 50mph. Not used it personally though.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

Forgot to say that I have Gtechniq G1 ClearVision Smart Glass on my windscreen.

More expensive but a quality product

Its absolutely bloody brilliant.

Its not cheap but I use the yellow spray window cleaner and window washer additive.

On both my cars.

You don't even need to use the windscreen wipers as the rain just runs off!

Well worth it it makes driving much better which is what its all about!

A shame they didn't review the G1 stuff. Am I right in thinking you just need the G1 itself a about £11? Or does it require an additional product prior to application?

In my honest opinion it is fantastic. Wipers are not needed and If you apply it correctly you won't get the smears.

Rub it on in a circular motion like wax and do at least two coats. Leave for 15 mins and polish out with a wet or dry rag until the screen is completely clean with no marks. Enjoy! When you brake water will slide off when you corner it will run off the sides. The higher the speed the more effective but on my fiat and my audi it would run off at 30mph with no need for wipers.

Haven't driven the golf with it on but I'm sure it will be similar although I think the screen is more vertical.
