No Coolant warning showingon dash

Just curious if this is a common problem.

If left for a few days in cold weather my car shows "warning no coolant - consult manual, stop!" on the dash but the coolant level is bob on the max. Once you've driven round the block & warmed the car sufficiently, turn off & restart the warning goes

I've run vcds which shows no error codes - any ideas?

This was a common post last year and it is indeed the cold weather that the cause.  As long as the level is OK, don't worry too much about it.

I've had this issue, but in my case the car started consuming coolant - eventually I took her into VW after finding a big puddle of coolant on the ground. Turned out the rad end-tank had corroded and failed, requiring rad replacement.

Mine done this recently when the mornings were icy. I had a panic, stopped the car, jumped out to take a look and the level was spot on the line and very pink so deffo not iced or anything, once warm as stated, the warning went after turning it off and back on and since the mornings have been more mild its not happend again since.

Mine did this too bud, took it to VAG and they replaced the coolant bottle beacuse of a dodgey sensor, (FOC) no problems since
