Kinected up

Hi Everyone,

Got me the Kinect when it came out 2 days ago and all i can say is WOW!

Admittedly there are only a few small games out there at the moment aimed at the young and family market but we will soon be able to get Forza 4 which looks amazing, check out this page and watch the video.

Actually walking around the car and being able to look closely just by moving your body is what the Kinect is about, bringing a whole new aspect to games.

I found the response to my movements very accurate and the best bit about it for me is shouting commands to make it play movies and music while sitting at my desk at home removing the need for a remote to control my music etc. I am eagerly waiting for some good games to come out that are aimed at adults like COD or Left for Dead, shooting games will be awesome on this.

The only thing Microsoft dont warn you is that to be able to play properly you need to have about a 6ft x 6ft space infront of your TV with no furniture in the way. I imagine some people will find this annoying.

My gamer tag is 'Logo Lips' if anyone wants to join me.

Cheers

had a go on one the other week and it does nothing for me, if im playing forza, id prefere a proper steering wheel and pedals, not to stand and hold an invisible one, would be interesting to see if you have to change fears with your hand.

If you need any games consoles or games, accessories, etc etc, PM me for my best price,

Great concept and certainly one to watch but at the moment with the limited range of games I'm not going to invest.

Give it 12 months and It will be bloody amazing, well i hope anyway.

I remember speaking to a microsoft rep about forza for kinect a few months back and he was saying it was amazing however I'm sure he said it was just forza 3 set up for kinect and not forza 4?

I want to know though is, how does it determine when to brake/accelerate using only your body movements???

I love the idea of looking into the bends and looking around the interior but I can't help thinking it needs the feedback you can only get from a controller or steering wheel

Pretty sure you lean back to accelerate and forward to brake.
