Edition 30 Options Help
« on: November 13, 2010, 10:41:02 pm »
Tried a few searches but can't find exact answers so was wondering if someone could help me understand a few options for the ED30.

Were heated seats standard ?

What is included in the Winter pack, Lux pack, Lux Pack 2 ?

And lastly what is Highline ?

Thanks

1. yes heated seats were standard.

2a. winter pack Headlight washers, heated windscreen washer jets and low washer fluid light in conjunction with leather upholstery or Heated windscreen washer jets and low washer fluid warning light if you opted for bi-xenon headlights.

2b. Luxury pack Electricallyfoldable doormirrors, reverse activated kerb-view
adjustment on passenger’s doormirrorand rearreading lights

2c. no idea what luxury pack 2 was.

3. full screen computer between the clocks on dash which allow you more options than the midline. Go back a few pages there's a post on it somewhere

Great thanks Guys this helps me work out all the options, I never thought having loads of options was worth it but having sold a car that had a few on and getting something with only a few I missed them so wil be seeking out a high spec ED30.

Wat about telephone integration what are the options for that, I noticed the car I looked at yesterday had the phone button in the MFSW ?

I had bluetooth retro fitted to my ED30 which is a seat unit module behind the dash with mic fitted where the overhead lights are. The telephone button does not function on mine, apparently only works on the mk6. I use my 3gs on it without issue and all comes up on the RNS screen. I can send you  the link of the company i used if its any help? If you can, get the voice activation also, its awesome! VW mostly put the touchscreen bury unit in now which screws to the dash and looks too aftermarket IMO, although the interface is supposed to be good and is cheaper to fit I imagine. You can also get  fiscon bluetooth system but apparently the seat jobby is more reliable.

Like you I wanted a high spec 30 but found it easier to get the extras retro fitted as some don't spec 'clever' and as we all know a reasonably priced car soon becomes an expensive one when you add a few toys. I love the OEM look! :happy2:
