hey all, just found this forum through google an love it so decided to join up!  :smiley:

i have not long bought a mk5 gt tdi 140 an absolutly love it! its my first vw an im so glad i bought it!! so far all i have done to it is remap it and fit a hid xenon kit.

i have got loads of stuff i want to do to it including a boot build but havent got a clue where to look/start so all help and comments are welcome good or bad!

heres a few pis of my car as i bought it (as it still is now)

 :pomppomp:another diesel owner like my self welcome to the forum ..Your car has the gti bumper on i see..i would change the gti badge to a gtd one :happy2:

Yeah :) I love the gti kit on it! I've got loads I want to do to it an yh I will be changing the badge lol

Hi and welcome.

As above, I'd change the badge to GTD. Some people prefer to also paint the stripe a different colour so the car is not confused with a real GTI.

Also, have you informed the insurance company of the modification? Making a car appear like a higher model can make it more 'valuable' as a target for thieves and hence may incur a hike in premium.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.
