not really.  none of the maps seem to suffer with fuel cut any more, with the exception of revo when the settings are yanked up.  I never had any isue on shark stage 2 or bluefin stage 2 with an ITG added after


....It's not a guaranteed event but there is the potential for fuel cuts if too much air is delivered, and consequently it's wise to adjust the settings - Something which only Revo has the option of and another reason why I use Revo and not any of the tuners you mention.

thats looks like a potential good performer. 

100% guaranteed correct internal MAF diameter with it being the oem housing,

large bore pipework with smooth bends. and a nice big filter.  have you performed logs of before and after?

made them only after - about 245 g\s.  yesterday on dyno - 328 hp on flywheel (revo st.2 - catless downpipe, forge fmic, intake)

K&N have 3" maf housing, it's not good

Looked at these and I cannot believe the price for an intake on these cars.  Fair enough the likes of Forge with the twin intake but you can make your own using the standard MAF housing as above for about £100.  Look on Silicon hoses and you can get two 90 elbows for £35, reducer for £13, 1m of 3in tubing, some hose clips and a generic sized filter.  If your worried about heat then wrap the back pipe section in heat resistance tape for an extra £20.

Seriously though some of them really are just a couple of sections of pipe with a cone filter on the end.  How can that be worth £300+??  Im not a cheapskate and do like paying for quality items but I just think that these things are overpriced.    

I might attempt to make my own and will gladly eat humble pie if its not efficient.  No denying most look good but there really only there to perform in my eyes, not look nice.

i think if you maintain the oem maf housing.  Connect that to the turbo with one of the ITG pipes with the inner lip.


and get a GOOD quality large filter on.  Free flowing is great providing your not letting loads of gunk through the filter and into the engine then yes it could look and perform quite well.  I quite like the lok of the one posted by "useless".  All it needs is a heat shield for above the manifold, and some heat reflective tape and id bet that would perform very well in dead

I have a full 3in ATP intake system, inc a 3in MAF housing, the car doesnt seem bothered at all, quite the opposite.

have you logged your long term fuel trims.  No doubt that the car is permenanty having to adjust the fuel trims to compensate as a result. 

the GIAC software is specially scaled to utilize a 3" MAF housing for that sole reason
