Sorry for the offtopic...

Yup, that is why I asked.
I am only asking, isn't it better on the number plate or on the roof?
I think you would get better footage from higher up since you can see the track and the lines better...

Sorry again Neil for the offtopic.

Cheers

Can't use suction mounts on UK tracks and it was the only decent place I could find on the Clio where it wouldn't get damaged. I do see your point though.
Sideways yo!

I'd like to say the car is epic Steve but clearly its the natural talent of the modest bloke behind the wheel  :signLOL:  :signLOL:  :signLOL:

Here's a video of me trying to follow it, it just romps away in the straights!
Only watch the first two mins but that's some bloody good driving from you. Not sure why but the footage does look like it's from GT5 or something. Think it's probably to do with the frame rate!

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

I've been looking for a large paddle to shift up & down to replace the up/down shift buttons on the steering wheel, the buttons work ok but are a bit small and can be hard to hit at times.

I ended up having a go at making my own.

The buttons only need a push of a couple of mm's and I figured their was enough flex in 2mm thick carbon to push them in.

I have it set, pull to shift up and push to change down.

Seems to work well although you dont get the 'click' when changing gear, good test will be at Snetterton on Thursday  :happy2:
