R32 Brake upgrade - question
« on: November 27, 2010, 03:36:28 pm »
Hi guys, just been trawling through the search and not managed to find my answer.  I've just bought a full set of R32 brakes (calipers, carriers, discs, pads - front and rear), from what I can gather they will be an easy fitment with minor fettling of the stone guards.

Question is, will I be able to use the existing brake lines from the existing std gti calipers or is the fitment on the r32 stuff different?

Cheers, Paul

I think the lines have to be changed for R32 or S3 ones, Paul  :happy2:

Love this place, exactly 1 min after I posted lol  :happy2:

So where would I find these brake lines? Main dealer? Would there be a massive difference in price from OEM R32 to say goodridge braided items?

Paul

Rear brake lines are the same.

Front hoses need changing to R32 variants.

R/S3 clips (two differently logo'd clips) are F'in dear at the stealers!  expect to pay through the nose!
