Looking for cheapest place for an Ipad..
« on: December 08, 2010, 05:43:18 pm »
Been on the hunt to buy one of these Dinner plate coasters for a little while  :ashamed:.

have found Viking direct to be the cheapest so far for a 16Gig with Wifi. Not interested in the 3G aspect. £357 free P&P.

Does anyone know of any going cheaper elsewhere??

Cheers Chaps

You won't regret it ! They are excellent, have you checked out eBay for some bargains ?

I was watching a few a while ago £320  for a 16gb on a strange time ending auction ! Worth watching a load and see !

You will never buy a newspaper again !

Steve ! Do not, under any circumstances go to the dark side ! The main reason you want it is for surfing and therefore the app store is your friend ! All retailers tailor there products and sites for iPad specific apps etc !

Don't follow the masses, embrace the mac evolution !

The Viking Direct deals were/are very good but I'm not sure if they've finished now.

Surely you contradict yourself with that statement. Don't follow the masses, don't buy an iPad.  :innocent:

I actually think the iPad is really smart but fook me is it expensive and limited.

Having bought one at launch I have to say I am now totally convinced that I made the right descision to buy an iPad. Doing a silent audit at home I realised just how often it gets used by all. Surfing, social media, shopping, reading, gaming, bbc iplayer catch in bed even and I now actually use it as a songbook for both piano and guitar! Most times when I want to use it though someone else is engrossed in it's shiny screen.

I'd say the only mistake I made was getting the 3G for trips away, I have since cancelled the contract, as the iPad never leaves the house. Love the screen but they need to put a non marking coating on the new version.
