Steel Rims 15 or 16's?
« on: December 08, 2010, 10:22:22 pm »
My PS2 tyres are shocking bad in this weather  :surprised: so I was going to get a set of steel rims for the GTI to put a set of winter tyres on (if they will ever be available) and would also do to swap short term when I need to get my monza's refurbed at some point.  :sad1:

Did VW make 16" steel rims or were they only available in 15"?
I guess steel rims have an offset like alloys so will Golf MK VI rims or indeed others such as a passat fit or must they be MK V golf/jetta?

You can buy steel rims with winter tyres fitted and pre-balanced from Mytyres. Might be worth a look.

Or the option 17 winter alloys wheels. (notice they are not as wide as the monzas)

Thanks guys very interesting, I was wanting to get a set of second hand rims locally, I'm in NI so shipping from the mainland is expensive.
