Getting my third DSG service done in January at 90k miles. It will be my second DSG service at VWR - It was done as a matter of course when they installed my Quaife diff. I also have Revo's DSG remap.

How much do VWR charge? I'd prefer to get mine done by them. I don't trust stealers one bit.  :fighting:

the reason i went with VW is that any future warranty claims i may have to make in relation to the DSG box i would like to be able to say, its been serviced on time and with you.

....I don't know what VWR charge. If it's not on the forum's section about member discounts it might be on their web site, or a phone call to them will tell you - 01908 210088.

@ Edd:

....I don't even know where Preston is, let alone how far from VWR Milton Keynes but I'm 170 miles away from them and I still go there.

There is no reason why any VW garage cant do a DSG oil change. Its just a simple process to follow, and remember they are doing lot's and lot's of these everyday. Just cross your finger's.  :rolleye:

Had my DSG service today (car 4 years old with 28k miles), and what a difference!

Before the service the gearbox was quite jerky from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd in manual mode - it is so smooth now, and the downchanges feel quicker too.

Well worth the £169 at VW Harrogate. Had the coil packs changed for free too.  :happy2:

as a bit of a newbie wanting to get back into a vw...would you guys recommend a dsg, generally?  from the things you are saying, i am assuming they are reliable so long as the oil is changed regularly?  does the dsg box blip the throttle on downshifts?  thanks.
