MY MK5 GTI LOOSING POWER
« on: December 20, 2010, 11:01:57 am »
Hi guys new to the forumn.

Hi ive got a mk5 golf gti 2.0tfsi.
originally it had a cheap map on it which i had taken off and put an apr.

i had forge intercooler
forge dump valve
forge twin air intake filter
miltek turbo back
apr stage 2 map.

Was all driving fine next day went flat,
Brought dv fault .All sorted working fine , after an 1 hour same again went back flat. Took the car back and was rechecked if map was ok. Same problem again its driving me mad.
Someone said could be the pcv valve.
Any ideas guys? would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Mike

sounds like a boost leak, so possibly the pcv, or loose band on one of your IC hoses, how long since you fitted the twintercooler?

Over the top mod list ;o)

Welcome to the forum SHQ7862010

I would check the forge twinter cooler connection's as they are not a great fit, i had a boost leak from mine after fitting.  :happy2:

Reading the US forums you will find that APR and aftermarket intakes (excluding the carbonio) don't play nice together.
Without traction power is nothing!

Hi mate thanks had it all fitted 2 weeks ago, but did it the following day. Like i said the guys have checked all over and if reflashed the map but it was ok and did it again. Ive ordered the pcv valve and will hopefully try again as the weather gets better.

Thanks for the info
