AG Hd wax vs Dodo Juice Blue velvet?
« on: December 26, 2010, 07:54:47 pm »
Hi guys, I'm going to spend my xmas cash on a wax for next year and the above 2 choices are in my spending range, I currently use megs clay, AG srp and egp but want to go a stage further with a wax next. I won't be machine polishing just using app pads and microfibre towels.
Has anyone used both of the above that can comment?
Also I'm guessing that blue velvet is more like hd wax than purple haze for application purposes??

I have a laser blue car should that sway opinion!
 :xmaspresent:

Cheers
Jon

I have used the AG HD wax and Blue Velvet but i went with the pro version as it has sealant ingredients. AG HD wax is also classed as a sealant wax so using EGP may not be required. HD is easy to use but be carefull not to put to much on as its sometimes a bugger to get off, same with DJ waxes. But these are both designed for darker coloured cars where as the HD is a generic wax for all colours. The Blue Velvet is meant to give the deeper shine.

+1 for skipping out EGP.

As above otherwise. Waxes are a personal choice and I've gone for more expensive waxes only to be disappointed by them.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.
