Revo or Supperchip for my Edition30

I am looking in to upping the power of my Ed30 and was wondering if any one had done the same and which company they went with.

any more than stage 1 go with revo

Bluefin'd my ed30 on stage 2. Anymore then that revo is a better bet.

Really depends on how far you want to modify as to the best suited or budget limited route fella.

Each route you could choose is rather slippery though

superchips stage 1 is a good map, but if you want to go stage 2+ I think Revo seems to be the favourite
I might be getting my bluefin reset next week and will be selling it for £280 delivered thats IF i can actually get some Revo installed,
I've been trying for the last 3 days, but PDTuning have had bother getting the map off them, ridiculous way of losing sales if you ask me, might just stick with bluefin if it drags out any longer

Yes, im really annoyed with Revo letting us down over your Stage2+ and I can only appologise, I will do my best to try and sort some sort of sweetner for you.

Had Bluefin on my edition 30 and it was perfectly fine  , got it on the Rocco and its been fine also, just one thing make sure you get a manual map if you have manual or DSG if you have DSG !!

It costs an extra £50 to go to stage 2 bluefin if you get an exhaust and intake. Stage 2 is an improvement over stage 1, but stage 3 is crap(stage 2+) compared to what you get with revo

I wouldnt have said it was better, but if you can pick up a 2nd hand handset, you can save £300 over Revo!

Probably the best thing about Bluefin is you can install it yourself at home, you can also remove the map if you need to and then put it back on, now if Revo added this option then i would possibly buy differently

When i looked for a map for the edition 30 Revo wanted over £800 with the switch !!, Bluefin was about £450 iirc, it seems the prices have dropped a bit now,  i also hated the fact if you went to a show then Revo could be had for nearly half price !!

I would worry if Revo did a DIY style handset, the big benefit of REVO over other options is that its individually tuned to your car by a pro installer with the right knowledge and experience, this cannot be rivalled by a 1 size fits all option if you compare the power figures and drivability, but its personal choice and I would advise people do their homework, get a Revo trial, or even use the 30 day money back period to trial the software and then try out the blufin. Your decision will be an easy one to make

We sold superchips products for many years, we are also a REVO dealer. With a background in tuning both aftermarket management systems (mainly motorsport based such as Motec, Omex, DTA etc...) the problem we had with superchip products is that the actual figures their software achieved on a realistic dyno would never match the ones their dyno would 'produce' which caused endless problems. With aftermarket systems the tuner is in control of the results which is the way it should be, to a certain extent REVO will allow the tuner to do this.

For most consumers the Superchip product is a fast and convinient to obtain a performance enhancement, this is where they are a market leader, and rightly so. For people that want the ultimate product that has had more development and is individually tailored then there are better solutions available.

We have many people that have product 'A' and then try product 'B'.  We have had lots of people that upgrade from A to B but have never, ever had anyone go the other way. To me that says it all.

Try as many options as possible using the free trials or money back guarantee options, then decide for yourself

id never go Superchips again.  i never had any bad experience mechanically, a few issues with the stage 2 map delivery, but when i tried a different tuner it just highlighted the difference in perfomance.  timmy on here had same experience as me.  changed from bluefin stage 2+ (251Hp onJKMs rollers, i made 1hp more) switched to shark performance stage 2+ and made 274hp on JKMs rollers.
