LED Interior Lights (again sorry....)
« on: January 10, 2011, 01:26:39 pm »
Sorry guys, tried a search but couldn't find what I was after. I want to change the interior lights to LEDS like quite a few have done, but have 2 questions.

Does anyone have a list of what type of bulbs are actually used (or do I need to pop them out and have a look myself).

Also, I purchased some CAN Bus firendly ones from a guy on ebay for my rear number plate, but he now appears on Ebay as no longer a registered member. I assume these lights all have to be the CAN Bus friendly to work properly ?. Does anyone have a good link to a seller with bulbs known to work at decent prices please ?

I'm after replacing

Front light   Main light - This is a festoon type. Map reading lights (these have already been done with the wedge type units).

Rear light - (central and map reading - 3 bulbs)

Foot well lights (left and right)

Glove box light. (no too bothered about the sun visor vanity lights).

Many thanks

Andrew

Even if the links are dead you've still got the type of bulb to do your own eBay search with  :happy2:

There are hundreds of U.K sellers on ebay selling canbus safe 501 bulbs, I'v just looked  :happy2:

If they throw up errors send them back!!They have to refund you. Its not like it was when I first got mine, all the sellers were in hong kong and it would cost more to send them back than get another set!
