Well in my opinon they look better, and also must aid in cooling slightly...

Very few gains, just look nice, you can hook the one up to your CAI to help more airflow, and they can apparently be set up to help cooling of the discs/brakes but not much.

i fitted these other week.
i was reading a thread on here somewhere in which Teutonic Tamer was basically saying that fittting these would actually hamper the braking ducts but i guess is only a problem with hard track use?

Hi Igot mine off ebay from Eurowagensltd
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250754124259&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT
£25 for a pair plus £5 postage, was v v worried as all other posts say stuff on ebay is cheap crap, but the arrived yesterday, clipped straight on perfect fit, v good quality and the strength and honeycomb design exactly like the OE ones I have taken off (but they are not open obviously!!) hope that helps, no afiliation just a happy customer
