i have a gttdi remapped, the 170 versions are a dood car as long as you don't do short journeys

What is considered a short journey? I would do approx' 10 miles to work, but swmbo's work is less than 3 miles away! It would get a couple of 25 mile+ runs a week.................

The DPF issue could be academic as I have just found a GT 140 on the Car Giant site, 07, 5 door, silver, just over 57k £8490 including admin fee!

Bargain I think. :happy2:

Dpf is a pain. I got a 170 GT tdi. I only do 3-4 miles a day and every week the dpf light was on. Then I had enough and off I went to have it removed.

Had a miltek downpipe fitted. Dpf error faults disabled. And mapped to between 210-230 bhp and 350 lb of torque. Best mod ever. Would recommend to anyone with a dpf and a 170bhp vag.
