@ too hot.....

Your canceling your subs because Andy gray got the sack??? Or because you didnt like his comments???

andy Gray has been warned of his conduct back in December, and this latest episode was the final nail.That's why he's been axed, and not just over this one incident.

I personally am glad he's gone, gives Sky a chance to bring someone else in that WILL do a better job then Gray done.

Richard keys I feel will get a repremand, rather then the boot. But it will be known in a few days his fate.

The BBC already employ a female pundit, so it's fair to try them as officials;

She ^ works with that geezer Gabby Logan I believe?

This is laughable, it wasnt even on air and it was just a conversation between the too :confused:.

Sky could have delt with this more privately you know just like the conversation was but now they have had to sack there best commentator line-up for the big matches yeah well played :congrats:

Who will they replace them with that daft cow that commentates on MOTD no doubt :fighting:

Really though i think Sky have screwed themselves with this one. Why didnt they just keep it quiet ok if it was on air they'd have to be seen to be doing something about it but it wasnt.

I think you may have misunderstood how this came about. The story was leaked to the media, so in reality Sky had no option, fortunately or unfortunately depending on your view point, to deal with it through the media, instead of behind closed doors. In doing so they could only be seen to uphold the values they want to portray as a company, which in answer to Robin's question, are those of good, family fun for all the family, not male chauvinism. The fact is, many of us make sexist remarks in our everyday lives, but not many of us have a platform with which such comments could cause such widespread criticism and offence. Having been warned already he had to go, and I can't say I've came across many people today who disagree with that decision.

.
Most people I have spoken to, both male and female, think that it's a storm in a teacup and a very sad day when people aren't free to banter, especially at a football match. As a bloke I spoke to in the queue at Waitrose said to me today: "Does that mean that my wife's comments about me not knowing how to boil an egg are sexist?"

The guy who got sacked might be a complete arsehole - I don't know anything about him as I'm not a footie fan - but he's just as entitled as anyone else to have his opinions and to express them however he chooses. It's impossible not to offend someone somewhere whatever your opinions are, and so what. Why be offended by someone else's opinions or comments?
