Oil temp gauge - anyone got one?

heres a few pics and vid for y`all, excuse the quality as its quite hard to get a good pic of the screen

visible things on the gti are:  Battery Volts ~ Oil Temp ~ Speed Mph ~ Water Temp ~ Rpm ~ Fuel (litres).

Cheers Brett, useful pics and vid, need to have a look if the E-MFA is in the same position as the phone screen, wonder if they use the telephone display section of the MFD to display the figures.

You cannot use the E-MFA in conjunction with a bluetooth kit, that is one thing I know - says it on the Kufatec website

Three important facts:

The E-MFA is included in the Fiscon Basic and basic plus kits.
The E-MFA is compatible with the more simple VW phone kit.
The E-MFA does not work with the Volkswagen premium phone kit because the E-MFA
uses its place in the central display.


My opinion:

The best bang for the bug (paid 90,-- €) !!

not sure on my SW version but my car has Sat-Nav so when the stereos On theres a compass to the left of the clock

Ahh ok cheers Bruce, so it uses the position of the VW premium Bluetooth on the MFD, so I assume this would also be the case for a bluetooth only module like the Skoda 729B that I have.  Which is a shame, but since it works through the RNS as well I wonder which would win the battle for space on the MFD, or can the bluetooth kit be programmed not to display on the MFD so I can have E-MFA and phone!!! ouch my head now hurts!

Anyone any ideas?

Firstly I'm really sorry to hear of your redundancy, Damo. Hang on in there - As one door closes, another door opens. So it might turn out for the best longer term. Think positive, mate.

On the subject of oil gauges, I'm told that it's much more important to have an oil pressure gauge than oil temperature. By monitoring the oil pressure, it's apparently a much better early warning system.

Yea, I know that a oil pressure gauge is more important than a oil temp gauge (also important in its own right) but.... as I have the oil temp gauge left over from my last car it would be daft not to use it

No, I regret, it doesn't.  You need the large display.
