Edition 30 Steering Wheel.
« on: January 31, 2011, 01:16:27 pm »
Is it a bit smaller than the standard GTI one ?. I'm shure it is smaller than the one that was fitted to my last 05 GTI?.

No don't think so. The only difference is the red stitching on the ED30 wheel.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

Edition 30 wheel is the same size as the standard GTi wheel, as stealthwolf says, it's just the red stitching on the E30 wheels that's different.

How early was your GTI Gene?  Ive only had this said to me once but someone mentioned that the earlier wheels were thicker/chunkier to hold on too.  So also depends if you mean diameter.

..........last one was an 05 with the grey leather wheel & blue tinted glass. Maybe because the ED 30 wheel is black ? it just dosen't seem as wide across the spokes as my last one?.

Whilst talking of steering wheels, is the MK6 wheel the same size as the mk5 ones?
