Just picked my car back up having had the coil packs changed this morning.

Drive is definitely much smoother :happy2:.

I asked for a copy of the paperwork, which they duly supplied, and checked that they had made a note in the 'Workshop Comments' section of my service book as asked.  They had recording "28FS" (the campaign number) along with the mileage and date.

Very happy with the service from Parkway VW as usual!
OEM+ 2005 GTI DSG (high factory standard spec and upgraded with S3 alloy hubs, S3 alloy wishbones, Bilstein B8s and VWR springs by my own hands) owned since 2008 and still loving it!

Just went out to check my coilpacks. Mine are 06F 905 115F so dont need to be changed.

Original coilpacks Ed30 no. 728 registered the start of April '07.

They generally only ring if they are out of stock

I just called Breeze (poole) and they said theres no stock problems, but if anything happens they will let me know.

Had mine in at Lookers Teesside this morning. In and out in an hour and the service guy even recommended a good professional detailing company in the area should I decide to go for one. 10/10

Get Polished in Middlesbrough. Ive not heard of any recommendations other than the one from Lookers so Ive not idea how good they are, although I think a meet was organised there late last year by some other VAG forums.

Mine done this morning as well, throttle is a little bit crisper but not really that obvious to be honest.

One thing that does seem to have gone is the tiny little stutter that was there at idle when the car was warm.  :happy2:

Just got back from the scumbag dealers.

Despite being told it was due a recall, and waiting 2 hours. They go on to tell me that it doesn't need doing, but they have a fantastic offer on tyres....

....£150 for ONE dunlop.   and my NEW brake pads may need replacing as they look worn. But they have a fantastic deal on these too!

No thanks  :happy2:
