The reason he went in the boot was to put the recall sticker under the carpet  :happy2:

I've just checked in my boot but they haven't put a sticker in mine, they have however recorded it in the 'workshop comments' section in the back of the service booklet.

There is another sticker in the boot though dating back to July '07, Update: 24K6, I'm guessing this must be the ECU update! :happy2:

I have a service booked in two weeks time, will they do this enhancement anyway?

Seems a little more sharpe must say . Also top service

I didn't get a sticker.. or anything filled in in my service booklet.. and I had to ask for a photo copy of proof that they'd done it..   :sad1:

Still, got 4 free so v.happy.  :happy2:

Had mine done this morning after phoning up yesterday morning, hard to say whether i've noticed a difference or not as i've only had the car 6 days :laugh:

Yep as my mate is the mechanic and I was in the workshop giving him a hand while he fitted them, even managed to get me a new set of spark plugs in there at the same time :happy2:

well my stealer is just that. a stealer. i forgot to mark them so i knew if they were changed, but hay ho. have to assume they were :o\

My dealer is the opposite, i'm back in there using the workshop tomorrow (when it's closed) to do a DSG Service, 40k Service, Timing Belt Kit and hopefully an S3 Brake swap. Get all my parts at cost price too :happy2:

If you unplug the loom from  the coil packs, it will show you what revision they are by looking at the letter at the end of the part number on the coil pack. iirc it should be F.
Without traction power is nothing!

All four of mine replaced in a hour on saturday mornin, Although it was an easy job for them as i took the engine cover off before i dropped the car off.
