Changing tyres on Monza Shadow 18" wheels.
« on: March 06, 2011, 02:44:19 pm »
I am about to change my 225/40 R18 Bridgestones to the new Goodyear Eagle Asymmetric 2 tyres.
The Bridgestone fronts have 6.5mm and the rears 7.5 mm tread depths, so hardly used as the car has only done 3300 miles!
I am changing them because they are noisey on our broken road surfaces.

I am really worried that some rim damage might ensue due to improper equipment.
Is there specialist equipment at tyre fitters that would prevent this?
What should I be looking for wrt this?
Any recommended tyre fitters in the London area I should go to?

Help please!

Thanks.

There's nothing worse than rim damage mate!
