Hey folks,
I can't tell whether it's since I had Focal components fitted all round, as I fitted an RNS510 a day after... Basically the story is;
The rear left speaker buzzes when the key is in the ignition / car is on, the buzz dissapears when I press the brake pedal, which to me indicates an earth problem? (maybe?)
Only question is, I haven't changed the earthing point of my sub/amp in the boot, the only thing I have done, is when fitting the line out convertor to the RNS, The RCD I had before had a screw on the top of the back of the chassis which I had the earth wire from my line out connector going to.
The RNS510 did not have these screws, so I used the GPS antenna socket of the RNS for the earth wire to connect to, and then screwed the antenna connector in it's place (which also holds the earth cable in)
Is that a bad idea for an earthing point/ Would it cause that buzzing? (Why only from one speaker?) Although to be fair, my line out convertor is wired to the REAR speaker wires.
Oh, just to top it off, when using my phone via the stereo, I can hear a whining to match the revs, ie the whine sound goes up when I accelerate! Like a bad video game basically! (Yet is fine when listening to music/radio).
Thanks in advance,
Sean
