How to adjust or remove the speed warning
« on: March 13, 2011, 09:15:58 am »
I have looked through my manual a number of times, but my Pirelli has a multifunction steering wheel and walking through all of the menu's while stationary I cant seem to find how to adjust or remove

Any ideas or help

I didn't know there was two ! I found the winter tyres section which is turned off. It comes on at the set speed and 'pings' at me and only resets to the dash information  if I drop below the set speed or hit the 'ok' button

If it meet or exceed speed X it blooming pings at me every time  :stupid:

have you got the full size dash insert, or the half with the engine lights above it?

Good question, I have not seen two different ones. My car is a late 2008 Pirelli I can select all of the dash options through the multifunction steering wheel. It shows a lot of information on one screen in the middle of the dash.

Should I get out of my dressing gown and take a picture ?!

.
I've got Midline and so surely it's on Highline as well. Comes up in display on going through the MFSW buttons (forget exactly which sequence). Adjusting it from 70 to 95 was one of the first things I did nearly 6 years ago. But then as soon as I heard the ping, because it's the same sound as other warnings, I switched it off completely. The last thing you want when driving at high speed is to suddenly hear a warning sound which could be a serious mechanical problem.

Page 14/15/16 of the manual...

To switch the speed warning off, use the arrows to select the speed warning screen and press OK button. Three dashes appear to signify the speed warning is turned off.

Thats a highline dash then :) If it shows a car with open doors that open and close as you open/close them thats a highline.

Its on the screen where the MPG shows. Go to the MPG screen and press the button above OK until you see speed warning

....Unless you're a hot babe worthy of the VAG Babes thread it's far too early in the morning to lay a nude pic of yourself under our noses!

Trust me you don't want a picture of me without a dressing gown on. It's even putting me off my breakfast <a href="http://" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" class="bbc_link bbc_flash_disabled new_win">http://</a>
