Off for the free respray
« on: March 21, 2011, 02:28:49 pm »
Well then day has come when VW are taking my precious car back to have the passenger side they scratched repaired and resprayed.

Just praying they do a top job and give me a half decent courtesy car.  :sad1:

Knowing them though they'll "find" some things that need doing and try fleecing me that way.

Damn coilpack recall  :fighting:

What a nightmare.....they've given me a TSi....by the performance id guess a 1.2  :rolleye:

Will say one thing though....the build quality on the MK6 is better than the mark5.

The RCD510 is nie but the panels don't rattle one bit, Not other annoying other rattles as well....

Wish mine was as 'secure' as this one.

Had mine in at dealers for service and a few other things and I got a 1.2 polo! What was worst was the fact that I could do anything about about on old suzuki swift passing me going up a bit of a hill!!!

Why cant they give you a decent car!!

I once got a VW fox.  :sad1:

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

Phoned the bodyshop today and they're allowed to respray passenger doors front and rear and the rear panel as well....

Should look like new.  :drinking:

Make sure you thoroughly inspect the bodywork. Take a decent torch with you. Look for overspray and swirls from machine polishing.

I once had a Seat Ibiza 1.0 5 door courtesy car from seat. Had to shout "CHAARGE" and run up from a mile back if you wanted to overtake anything!

Another time they gave me an Leon Ecomotive in white with massive green leaf decals all over it!

I did however once manage to get a Leon Cupra TDI demonstrator off them for a couple of days.

Last time was an ibiza 1.6 TDI Sport - quite liked that one!
