Mine is up where the interior light is to the right hand side. That appears to be ok, but I may look to replace it with the OEM mic for neatness

Alex - where is the OEM mic?  I've got the VW Phone prep kit but can't spot where the mic is.

Cheers
Richard.

I haven't got phone prep in my car, but after reading this could I get the OEM MIC as it's on part and fit that and plug it into the Parrot ? If so anyone know partnumbers or fitting walk through or anything ?

Whilst we're on the Parrott 3000 topic, where do you all mount your microphones? Mines on the A frame pillar by the sun visor and I'm told it sounds terrible as it picks up a lot of road noise...on the motorway it's almost pointless..

When I first fitted my Parrot I had the mic inside the interior light cluster but my callers couldn't hear me properly so I moved it to the A-Pillar.
