Same with my case .. no fault code = no problem in their eyes!

I'm not going to disclose exact details on the forum, but a concise email to the powers that be made them send an Engineer out ... who agreed that the unit was shot and relayed the information back to them.

Just stick to your guns and use factual information with them and they will be okay.  I have to say that they did remain professional even though I did give some of the staff a bit of a hard time - and that's not usually how I operate.

when i moaned about my dsg, they said they mech unit was of a serial no. that had a known issue and they changed the unit out.  this transformed the car, i was amazed at the difference.  i havent checked but maybe this is listed in etka as a known problem?

I have now purchased the Warranty Direct warranty and also paid extra to cover dealer labour rates. - just need to get it looked at now and hopefully it'll need a new Mech unit!
Just be careful with WD they will try absolutely anything to wriggle out of paying up!!

I have received my cheque now from Warranty Direct for the Mechatronic unit ... many thanks!!
