Well after speaking to them the wheels are delayed by six working days, which I'm OK with...

..but I'm being bullied at work into swapping for these instead  :chicken:

What's your thoughts, oh forum?

I prefer these  :happy2:

On the topic of the 2nd set, I saw a white leon cupra parked up at lunch with those rims fitted. Did look quite tidy I must say

Gosh darnit. I actually prefer the CH-Rs as well but they're more expensive...  :sad1:

Gotta pay to play I guess. It's only money, right? Better call rimstyle and let them know... :P

I much prefer the CH-R. The CS just dont look right because the dark spokes just get lost.

Well rimstyle will be despatching the CH-Rs on Monday afternoon, they didn't have Pirellis in stock so got a decent deal (I hope) on Yokohoma Advans, but need to check if they're the Sport or the Neova...
Hopefully they'll be on the car and full of nitrogen by Tuesday or Wednesday...

Nitrogen?

I've hear the Nissan gtr has nitrogen filled tyres because it's more stable. Where do you fill them and do you notice any difference?

Improved (that is, reduced) pressure variation over varying conditions (hence the greater stability), slower rate of pressure loss (as nitrogen molecules are larger than oxygen molecules) and some also say that it results in reduced corrosion on wheels.

Kwikfit/Costco etc offer nitrogen filling now. Not expensive either, something like £1/tyre (though admittedly 20p at the petrol station could give you air for all four, but you know what I mean).

When Costco fitted tyres to my Golf apart from damaging 2 of the rims they under-inflated them so badly it was a joke. After inflating to the correct pressure I can assure you there was no advantage to be found.

Just remember if you use 'normal' air it is still nearly 80% nitrogen filled anyway.  :rolleye:
