Was this colour only available for a limited time? I remember it when the GTI first came out, but I can't recall ever seeing one...

Shadow blue was always available from the start to the end of mk5 production just not a popular choice. Laser blue only lasted till around end of 2005.

Shadow blue is also available on the mk6 GTI but again not a popular choice in the UK.

Updated pics..  I know they're elsewhere, but this is where they belong!  You can't beat a bit of Shadow Blue!  :happy2:

I really like this colour...    I was torn between Shadow Blue and Blue Graphite.    The only reason I went for Graphite was to try something a little different - but I do still wonder at times....

It's a pity the Ed30 wasn't available in Shadow Blue as I would definitely want one!
VW Golf Edition 30, Candy White, 3dr Manual. Plus a stunning Aston Martin V12 Vantage!

I've been trying to find some pics of Shadow Blue Golfs that have been colour coded.  These are the only ones I managed to find.  I think they are all Shadow Blue!  Not too sure about the rear - would look better with a different back end on it.  Think I'll leave mine as it is for now..
