hi all had my car a while and i know it sounds stupid but is there a spacific place to put your fuel cap when filling up rather than leaving it hanging.............?

There are some gooves in the cap so you can rest it on the fuel cap cover. However it does more damage if it falls off as it doesn't stay on very securely.
My wifes beetle one was great. Had a rubber cover that came out to avoid any scratching.

I just hold it but as above, you have clip it onto the flap. Not very secure though.
