Jacking up ED30

Hi all, can anyone advise if you can trolley jack the car straight up under the welded deep seam ( behind the recessed tear drop marks in the sill ) where the standard jack supplied with the car would go. Or is there an adaptor you have to use when using a trolley jack.  As stated in the heading its an ED30.  Thanks Chris

You can do, there are adaptors available to slot into the top of the jacking pad but a normal trolley jack will do the job, just line up the seam with the cutouts on the jack, some use a piece of wood or rubber on top of the jack.

And use a good axle stand of course

I keep an ice hockey puck for use when jacking - it has a slot cut in it, to fit around the sill seam.

It's a very stiff rubber, and helps protect the sill from jack-rash.

Thanks for quick reply guys. Information greatly appreciated. Just wanted to put front tyres on back and visa versa to keep wear even. Thanks again Chris

Me doing the same as well. Works great, but only when the car isn't lowered too much.
Otherwise most jacks aren't flat enough.
