My UG Mk5: 1.9tdi

Hello every one

this is my car... (only 19 and carnt afford a gti  :sad1:)
Its a 2004 1.9tdi 105bhp,
Drives great and love the turbo... big difference from my 1.4 mk4 golf

How it was when i got it:


Lowered on eibach sportline springs:

DIY R32 Rear lights Done today (going to do them darker sometime in the future):







Whats to come....

Before the wheels go on there in the process of a refurb and lower profile tyres.


Jetta front bumper test fitted.


Primerd, ready to paint.


Also gti rear valance but havent taken a picture yet..

I thought GTI/Jetta style bumpers didn't fit cars with the standard bumpers without modification?
Only 250.1bhp - but with that noise, who cares?

Mile-muncher ordered: MkVI 1.6 TDi BlueMotion Match DSG with leather, winter pack, luxury pack, fogs, climate control, Dynaudio pack, RCD510 with DAB & MDI, flat tyre indicator

Yeh your right they don't, I had to make afew cuts here and there but wasn't that complicated, perfect now  :smiley:

Nice project so far mate, I've got the same 1.9 tdi se and put a us spec gti front bumper on so should be good to see how they both turn out  :happy2:
You going to have it re-mapped?

i think i will eventually, my cars done 88k though iv only had it about 2 month so waiting at least until next service make sure everythings running fine.

Not yet but had a look on a few websites like jbs and just a stage one remap puts it upto about 150hp  :happy2: mines done around the same mileage mate and seems fine  :smiley:
Are you taking it to any shows this year then?

Well if i get it done will probley be by Awesome Gti Manchester, Vag specialist so they no there stuff  :wink:
just havent got the money for a new clutch or DMF if they go lol..

Think ill be going to high peaks low dubs show, august sometime. Went down to ultimate dubs, and elsecar mega meet was only 10minutes from be so went there too.

Found a spare hour today so put afew more coats of tint on the rear lights and fitted gti rear bumper  :smiley:
Really happy with the results of the lights..
Exhaust cutout looks "empty  :sad1:" without twin pipes but hopefully having that sorted friday  :wink:

Looks good.

Did you get the tow cover or make the same mistake I did and not realise you have to order it aswell as the bumper
