Superchips have since Toned down the map and sent me a new map, although im inclined to replace the cam follower and inspect for excessive wear in the fuel pump.

Why did you have a new oem pump installed Heavyd of out curiosity?

The easy fix would be to change the fuel pump, but as superchips and revo say an uprated fuel pump isnt nessasary on stage 2.
My turbo boost/ requested levels are spot on the money, but fueling is the problem.. any other idea's?

I originally had an autotech pump in and stage 3, but was getting some cut, so I sold the autotech. When I put the old pump in the following log on stage 2 showed some fuel cut. Pdt advised me to get a new pump. So got discount at dealers and paid £150 for a new one, which is the logs on the last page. Although I mist say when it went back on the rollers with the new pump it made 5bhp less. I'm no expert but it might be a dodgy pump you have as your logs are similar to mine, might be clogged fuel filter etc who knows. Best off sending pdt your logs and ask his opinion, though he may say the same. Here's my logs on old pump

New pump

Thats how it should look, mine isnt :ashamed:

Would be good if PDT reads this thread. Im hoping the timing being so erractic is caused by the poor fuel pressures.

Steve looking at the logs, my opinion is I see you have a big spike @ 2960 rpm which would use a lot of fuel to create the power from that spike. Fuel pressure slowly catches up later in the rev range as the boost curves drops to follow what it should. As its stage 2 and on the limits of the pump it would take a while for the pressure to build back up again before running out of fuel at higher rpm.
Just my opinion.

I wouldn't agree that Stage II doesn't need a higher flowing fuel pump.  It can be seen from your logs Steve that Req'd vs Actual is quite different in some places.

I don't think simply changing the follower is the answer to your issue, tone down the map or invest in a fuel pump

My map has been now toned down, but sifting through my service receipts, it appears my fuel filter nxt to the fuel tank has never been inspected :fighting:.Filter and follower are next to try.
new map from Superchips has already by my bum dyno feel smoother on fly up, so fingers crossed.

Will re-log to confirm once replaced .

I replaced my fuel filter last night after 100k, OMG their was a lot of brown muck which came out with the petrol.
It is certainly something I would change every 50k at most.

if you look at the requested boost in the fuel cut areas compared to my stage 2 and they are a lot higher.
I just had a look at my bluefin stage 3 requested boost levels, and they peak at 2330, only for a very short time. and that was with teh last tweaked map that bluefin had sent me :stupid:

I have emailed PDT aswell, he says he's gonna have a look, does look like my old maps boost was requesting much higher then your settled version heavyd.

I might retry logging tonight, as it defiantly feels better so far with just the mapping tweaks.

I think you may mis-understand the function of the cam follower.  Unless it's failed, and you ought to know that for sure, then it is unlikely to help your problem.  I'm not saying don't change it but I'm trying to say don't expect changing it to help you.

I agree stu, reason is, that the fuel is still supplying high fuel pressure on occasion, meaning the pump is mechanically driven, and that one minute its supplying enough, and another minute it isnt. Kind of points either to mapping requesting too much for a standard pump, or i could have a fuel delivery issue, possible fuel blockage , I still dont believe my stock pump is worn out. As not long ago on jkm's rollers, the car has always performed VERY well on a stage 1 map.

Fuel filter has never been changed, so might give me a clue.

 :happy2:

Im doing some logs tonight, so will list the results later.

Fuel filter I agree with, and by all means inspect the follower but I'd agree the pump looks like it's under performing.  If you don't want to replace it perhaps see if you can 'borrow' one.

The map is requesting 110 bar which I guess it a WoT, the pump is mechanically driven as you say and is relative to engine speed as it's driven from the cam.  At lower to medium engine speed the pump cannot flow enough fuel to meet demands.
