Looks good - need to get some paint on the bottom of that rear bumper tho!
Still cant believe VW thought that an acceptable way to send the car out - it just looks unfinished.

Thanks Ant

Yeah couldn't agree more about the lower bumper! Not so noticable on a black car but still should've been standard from the factory. Colour coding is definitely on my list of things i've got left to do  :happy2:

They are calibre vintage wheels that i had fitted on friday. Had to wait ages for them and especially for the rears to be made in blanks and drilled to fit,  they are 18x8 at the front and 18x9 on the rear running 215/40/18 tires all round

Done pretty much all the engine and performance mods already and was enjoying driving round with the standard 17 monzas but needed to get the suspension and wheels sorted out.

So far its running: stage 2+, non res miltek TBE, forge DV, autotech HPFP, ITG intake, KW V1 coilies  :driver:

Very nice, I do like the calibre vintage alloys, looked at them myself.
Bet it is a close one with the 9's on the back?

Thanks Al

So far so good in terms of rubbing, that pic was with the old wheels and suspension in the boot so its a tiny bit higher than that and more level now its settled a bit.

Was at japfest yesterday and saw some in 17s with red painted centres

Can't wait to get to some VW shows this year

Took a few pics of my car on my phone to show more of it than just the rear

Front wheel measuring 18x8....

Rear wheel measuring 18x9....

Looking down to show the insane dishhhhhh on the rears....

Excuse the dirty engine bay just wanted to show the ITG intake that lurks beneath....

Its currently lowered about 40mm and TBH it might need to go a little lower but for now i havent got any issues with rubbing or clearance and was playing safe as i've got some monster speed humps and pot holes around my way.

Thanks for looking

Dave

Been a long time since i've updated my build thread  :ashamed:

Mainly been cosmetic changes with one or two handling mod's and some toys inside too  :signLOL:

Finally managed to get hold of an ED30 rear valance, R32 side skirts and ED30 front splitter  :pomppomp:
Mounted my plates on the wolfsburg surrounds front and rear and swapped my tail lights over to a set of darker R32 ones
Had an RNS510 fitted which is by far one of best sat-navs i've used and soooooo much faster at pin pointing location at startup
Also got an autotech rear ARB fitted on the medium setting which really suprised me how much of an improvement through the corners it made  :driver: got WALK on the way so with that fitted too my handling mods should be complete  :signLOL: famous last words i know

Excuse the crappy car park phone pics but here's how it's looking now.....
