 I thought it was after it blew up or di vwr just shove another ko3 mtr in then and stick all the ko4 bits back on?

Originally that's what I was told which is part of the reason I am now going to APR Stage 3.

Basically the engine was replaced with another K03 motor but fitted with complete set of low miles ED30 ancillaries.

I think for track work though you don't necessarily want a massive amount of torque at the bottom end.

That's true although steves is perfectly capable of handling the torque with his setup

Instead of the 2871, you can get a small frame 3071 with a .86 housing instead.  The turbo is exactly the same physical size, but has a larger exhaust wheel.  It's the biggest t-25 flanged turbo available.  Or if you want faster spool with a great top end boost hold then go for the hta2868 with the .86 exhaust housing.  They have a very nice billet comp wheel.

Good for 450bhp on a 1.8t motor running 2 bar boost.

Should be make the same power at lower boost on the fsi.

Brave man running stock rods.  You would be wise to run some drop in rods with some arp head studs.

Dan had a bent rod with his Apr setup.

Not just a pretty face.  

Just like all the racers wanting linear throttle maps it makes the car more predictable and controllable yet still makes the power.

Did not know they told you that mate    I remember pies putting the mtr in the car but when you said it had been changed to ko4 mtr again I was really    hope you had a word mate
